The singing groups began in 2003 to provide performing opportunities for talented local children and to showcase the original music of Magical Music, under the direction of Artistic Director Don Rickenback. Auditions are held annually, and performances generally are for community events, charity events, recordings and other special occasions. Over 115 children have sung and recorded with Magical Music from all over Fairfield, New Haven (CT) and Westchester (NY) counties.
The two groups currently in rehearsal and performing are the Mini Singers and the Magical Music Singers.
The Mini Singers are made up of ten to twenty-five 3rd through 5th graders, and the Magical Music Singers are comprised of twelve high school students who sing in 4-part harmony. |
